I need suggestions for books to read and tv series to watch, its getting desperate - some of the stuff I'm reduced to reading and watching, well, it ain't good!

If you like Scandinavian crime fiction, I can wholeheartedly recommend any and all books by Jo Nesbo, especially the Harry Hole detective series. Beautifully written (and in places horrific) stuff.

Also series I enjoy (and again apologies if it's a bit crime heavy, I don't know why ;) ) are True Detective, Elementary and Hannibal. Oooh and a cheeky bit of Mad Men.

Morning all! I have a craving for egg and soldiers I think I'm gonna have to fulfil :D

Hmm I think you are right bexter7 - Jose Mourinho was my number 1 eye candy, but Alex is top of the tree now.

Off to the car boot now to see if the man selling bird tables has surfaced on this miserable morn.

Lovely to see lots of the old names posting again, one missing for ages though 3 Dogs , hope you are okay. Missing seeing you post.

DS1 exams start next week , seem to be. Lot of heavy subjects in the first week. Don't know who is getting more nervous me or him.

Good luck to your DS1 its a secret 66. :A

I still get nervous when it's exam time for my girls. DD2 finished 3rd year uni ones just over a week ago. Now the dreaded wait.

All this eurovision talk has me remembering back to when Ireland hosted in 94. Never understood why I was doing Irish dancing at school but me jaw dropped watching this. Best bit from 5 mins on.
