I need suggestions for books to read and tv series to watch, its getting desperate - some of the stuff I'm reduced to reading and watching, well, it ain't good!

I'm currently working my way through a lot of Terry Pratchett ebooks that I never managed to get in real book form, great for a bit of escapism :D Also a big fan of Stephen King. If you don't like horror go for his more recent ones if you can, the ones after the year 2000 (after his accident) tend to be different to his early ones.

Get into those books and you don't need TV. Just a warning though, my OH was away once and I picked up Stephen King's "It" to read for half an hour at 10pm, next thing I knew it was 4am and I had to get up at 7 to get the kids to school

I love Martina Cole books :) I started reading them ages ago and got hooked and think their brilliant. I lent one to Nannylala though though and she wasn't over keen :( They are a bit "gritty";)

What kind of booksdo you like?

    I've read Gone Girl

I like thrillers, crime if its not too long winded. Anything really as long as its well written, nothing too sad though.
