Orthodontist treatment is always one of those services where the funding is under review - the service to children could be withdrawn at any time. The orthodontist (here anyway) has to put forward a strong case to the board for a child to be passed for treatment. If you are awarded the treatment you grab it like a glitch. It is worth a small fortune.

The funding will eventually disappear for most cases.
our dentist referred my son nearly a year & a half ago  so hope they don't drag it out any longer :o

My nieces have braces, think they said you can choose colour now and tbh never took much notice what colours theres are:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You get a choice of colours from these little rubber band typre things that go on the front of them...I think its something that the girls like but perhaps its not the done thing for teenage boys...

The colours can be changed each time you visit the dentist which is about every 8 weeks or so...

I did try and persuade him to go for red white and blue when it was the jubilee but no success...i think the most colour we ever got was grey or clear bands.

Have had to skip my way through most of today's posts.

TS well done to your DD on her assessment :T:T:T.
Mine went very well, thank you. Very happy with the work Ive done so far this year and got a seal of approval for my planned work for next year. I still can't believe that's the first year nearly up. How quick has that gone?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: he's a bit worried about having a brace bless him as he's autistic & has been picked on in the past at school for being different so hope this doesn't start up again :( so hopefully he can have it so it doesn't stand out so much
This was the one thing that really worried me because I remember kids being really cruel....but apparently its much more cool now and we encountered no bad stuff...in fact it was very easily accepted by all
