I wonder who will have the champagne corks popping when this thread does finally get shut.
It will happen the more work they get the more the forum team will get sickened off and hit the off switch. But as long as a few have had a laugh its all good eh ;)

Its got to the point I don't know who I can reply to/ thank or have a laugh with as it can and does get dissected.
What a sad state of affairs :(

This post could go on and on but that will help no one apart from me getting it off my chest :rotfl:

  • Alert - Suspicious emails from Paypal

Afternoon luvlies, not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but thought it was best to report anyway.

I've just gone into my junk folder in my emails on my phone and found 2 from what it looks like came from Paypal. They weren't addressed to me by name but said Dear ..... and then my email address. Both emails were sent about 3 hours apart on Monday, and both said that I had received funds for a Postman Pat toy. One was for £500+, the other from £180+. I checked my paypal balance online and no amounts were showing as being deposited.

I called Paypal and they said they had been inundated the past 2 days with people saying the same thing, the lady I spoke to even asked if the item was for a Postman Pat toy!

Long story short, if anyone receives an email like this, please do not click on the links, you can forward the email to

    spoofe@paypal.com

    Hope this helps
This is the same as the HMRC emails. The best way I find is to check the senders email address & do it very carefully, take note of spelling mistakes such as @HRMC & @PAYPALL, report them & then send a message back to them saying whatever you want my favourite is far too abusive to post here but on most occasions you never hear from them again, minus one occasion when they messaged me back to say there was no need to be so aggressive :rotfl: what you gonna do call the police?

    Warning

If you take this offer up, please take and save screen shots of the offer. I took a similar one up a couple of years ago with this company, and they charged me almost 10 times what the offer was. I eventually had to do a chargeback as the company kept saying a refund was forthcoming, but never was. I was not alone, there was a thread about it.

A lot of the fun in this thread is posts being dissected, but then I imagine you don't mean AAUs big red X, CoTs misinformer smileys and the like do you :p

I lurk for glitches, post shops from time to time, and enjoy the banter. It's nice to see names returning to the thread from when I first started lurking and posting during the big glitch. It's equally nice to see regular posters and the community spirit this thread engenders. It's not nice to see what is essentially a p!ssing contest at a child like level.

Quick, back to hiding (don't want to be getting too many more stars!)
