Oh dear - how sad - you have mistaken straight-talking advice from many experienced people as talking down to you.

As a result you have turned your nose up at the best source of info on the this subject in the UK.

Not 'legal' advice of course as none of us profess to give that.

But the combined experience available on here of dealing with these particular type of parking tickets is second to none.

You particularly suggested that I was making a 'big deal' about the insurance aspect.

I hope that you understand now as to why - it proved nothing at all that would help you.

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

I too wish you good luck.

I came on here hoping for some advice not to be put down by people who think that because they have knowledge of the subject it entitles them to speak down to people. I have had a lot of things going on in my personal life and dealing with parking eye about this was not my priority. Thanks for your help. I will get legal advice next week

Honestly, the easiest way for you to MAKE THIS GO AWAY (other than pay the bustards) is to TAKE the advice you have been FREELY offered, and act on it. Just because you've had errors in what you are doing pointed out is no reason to become affronted and storm off to incur yet MORE expense.

If you could read beyond the harsh but true first points I made, I have explained to you how to defend this, and the possibility of getting it dragged to POPLA instead! If you pay for legal advice you cannot reclaim the cost - and for that reason most solicitors wouldn't touch a small claim.

Also a solicitor will only be focussed on the hearing/defence & will have no clue about getting it to POPLA instead - whereas recently I've helped at least 4 people to achieve that, like this person:

http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=89764 (ParkingEye claim, one of 3 I know of referred instead to appeal stage and will be won easily!)

    and this person:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=87364 (UKCPS claim)

Please, we can help you - I do call a spade a spade on here but that's what some middle aged women like me, do!! Bear with me and we can help you here, perhaps to grab victory from the jaws of defeat.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
