Virus? (this site spamming me)

I'm hoping someone is able to suggest a fix or at least give a reason why this is happening.

As I browse the forum I have endless adverts along the left (roughly 2 inches wide, down the whole length of the webpage) at the bottom I have "Ads by SaferSurf Ad Options follow by a little "i" within a circle which has an just outside it pointing to about 10 o'clock. Also nearly every time I click on a link within the forum I either get a new tab opening or a new google chrome window opening entirely. It's also determined for me to update the latest version of Adobe flash, but something just doesn't seem quite right.

I've tried a full McAfee full scan but that doesn't seem to have changed anything. It doesn't appear to be happening on any other websites, I tried Yahoo earlier to test it and it was fine. I've also tried coming onto the the MSE forum on my iPhone and the adverts along the left side of the weren't there nor were there any annoying windows or tabs opening for no apparent reason...

then click scan when you run it. then choose to remove everything it has selected

just uninstall it, and be careful you don't install bundled browser extension in future

malwarebytes and avast both free deal with most of this type of software, and may find other things mcafee has missed, and are cheaper (ie cost nothing)

you might want to cleanup with ccleaner, and a backup with macrium free afterwards
