Question: Does that feed both heating & hot water?
If so, the cylinder has a thermostat so if the water temp in the cylinder triggers the stat does that shut off the boiler?Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

Yes - manual lever puts in in 'mid' position - allowing flow to both A and B

Eeek - nicely installed.
You can access the manual lever ok then.
I'd be dropping that by 90 degrees to make future maintenance easier - but I'll bet you're going to tell me the pump is immediately below that aren't you?!?!
If you're going to drain down and replace, I'd seriously consider modifying that layout while you have the chance

that's an old one you can't just change the head it will have to be the whole valve, remember when you change it port B goes to the cylinder, turn the power off, cut the black wire & fit one of these

no probs, i'd still get him to fit the plug it makes it much easier to change the actuator in the futureI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
