Dongles in the South of France

OH is due to go to the south of France, related to his work, next week for about 10 days. There is no internet access where he will be staying, although there will be where he's working.
Our support technician here has advised him to buy a dongle locally. OH's techie skills are Zero. Can anyone recommend a dongle he could buy there which won't cost an arm and a leg and will give him a reasonable quality of service - no streaming required.
And his French is a bit c*ap, too.

Better is good enough.
