Aquis Credit Card

Just been accepted for an aquis credit card any idea what typical credit limits are given to start with for most customers? APR I have been given is 29.9% which is terrible for someone repairing their credit file.

Someone repairing their credit file has to be already wise enough to pay the balance in full every month in which case the APR as absolutely irrelevant.

Be thankful it is 29.9 it could be all the way upto 49.9 as for credit limit it will vary between 100 to 1500, if when you got accepted they asked you about a cash advance then the figure they give wi allow us an idea your limit, typical is 250 limit with regular increases upto 3000

Offered me a cash advance of £100 which I said 'No' to. Want to use it to make small purchases and help rebuild my credit file.

So has anyone been offered a £100 advance and what did your credit limit turn out to be?

I applied in November & got a credit limit of £500. Went up to £1200 in Jan and now its £2400. Took advanage of 56days free interest and paid off in full every month. Hasnt made a difference to my credit rating at all.

That isn't high at all. I got an Aquis card on my 18th birthday and was given a £250 limit at 59.9% APR.

When you're using these kind of cards, as grumbler said, you should not even think about the interest rate because you should be paying it off in full every single month.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

Sorry I misread the post. I thought you were refering to an Aquacard which is what I had, not an Aquis card. Sorry!
