in Credit cards
I have a barclay card in my name. I added my daughter on as an additional card holder. The outstanding debt on the card is my daughters. Is there any chance I could take my name off the debt as i am wanting to apply for a mortgage? thank you

As your daughter is just an additional card holder on your account, the debt is seen as yours.
Your daughter could apply for a balance transfer card in her own name and then transfer the balance to it leaving your account cleared0 -
In short NO! when you got the additional card you agreed that all additional cardholders are not responsible for the charges made to your account.
There is no way Barclaycard will allow you to switch. The only thing you can do is get your daughter to get her OWN card and balance transfer onto it. Then close your

As for your Daughter getting another card, note that it can't be a Barclaycard - she won't be able to transfer the debt from you to her if both are issued by Barclays.0

My daughter needs a credit card to transfer over a balance she has built up on my barclaycard. She is an additional card holder on my barclay card. she has no credit score really as she has only been on the electoral role for 6mths. What card or loan could she apply for with no credit rating? preferably o% balance transfer0

At best she would get a sub prime rate card with a low credit limit, no chance of a 0%.0

I see it's a continuation of this thread.0
