I managed ages ago to sign up with this Forum, so that I could read the entries.

Since then, I've not been able to get back in again whatever I do. I have been given numerous new passwords and go to sign in with them and it just keeps telling me I have the wrong username or password, so I try again and then again and I have checked meticulously each time that I am using the correct one.

Has anyone else got this problem? If so, what did you manage to do to get the Forum computer to accept its own password it has given you?

Or is it not worth even bothering to try, as the Forum computer is so bad at doing this to people that many other people give up even trying and thus reducing the potential contributions anyway?

NB; If any human being administrator of that Forum reads this, is there any chance you can PM me with a nice easy password I can use and that your computer will accept? (ie not a jumble of numbers and letters type password).

I have forgotten my password previously and just dug out the email that was sent to me with the password in. User names are case sensitive

re "jumble of numbers and letters" this tends to be a secure password. Just make sure you keep the email that is sent and copy paste if you need to

If you have the latest password, it sounds like your username that you are inputting incorrectly

I don't know the forum that you are talking about but have you set your computer to accept cookies as sometimes a site won't recognise you unless you accept cookies from it.

Found out why...no thanks to the NFH forum:(

I experimented with using a different browser and have got into the forum.

Errr...why does this forum not "accept" someone registering on a perfectly common internet browser then?:mad: and it doesnt even have a little phrase up saying "If you have trouble logging in it could be because our system doesnt like your browser. Try another browser".?

Anyway...sorted out finally and have just come back to post as to what the problem was (ie down to that particular website) and how to deal with it for anyone else wondering what's wrong.
