APCOA reply or ignore?

That won't happen and on the meanwhile your appeal is running out.
You need to contact APCOA immediately and demand a POPLA verification code from them. And make sure it is a newly issued one so use the POPLA code checker to make sure it is valid when it arrives.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Ive just had a reply from the DVLA as follows;
"Thank you for your email concerning APCOA not providing the appropriate POPLA verification code following an appeal rejection.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I have now asked the BPA investigate this issue and provide a response to the DVLA.
I hope to have a response within 10 working days, depending on the complexity of the investigation"

Righto...just had another email from the DVLA chap as follows;
"Dear Mr Mailman
The investigation in to this case has now been concluded.
As the complaint was primarily concerning with a breach of the BPA code of practice, I requested that the BPA investigate and provide me with the details of the investigation and any actions that were undertaken as a result.
It has been identified that the rejection letter to your appeak failed to include a valid POPLA verification number as a result of an administrative error by a new member of staff and as a result additional training training will be provided to staff to ensure that all appeas are wealt with appropriately. The BPA will monitor the situation in future events where complaints are made about non-compliance of the BPA code of pracitice by APCOA.
The BPA have advised me that the parking charge notice has now been cancelled and you should receive notification shortly.
As I have not identified any deliberate attempts to request or misuse your data in breach of either regulation 27 of the road vehicle regs 2002 or the data protection act 1998 no further action will be taken by the DVLA in this instance.
Yours sincerely
The DLVA"
So while it may appear there were no legal issues here it does seem strange to me that a company who's business revolves solely around the charging scam should be making such a basic mistake!?!
But I guess it is what it is and at least my charge has been cancelled!

I am surprised that Apcoa didn't come out with the hackneyed phrase "lessons have been learned" when talking about that "administrative error".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

APCOA is not usually a problem when it comes to withholding PoPLA codes, but they do seem to make a lot of errors across the board.Je suis Charlie.0

I wonder if that is merely an outcome of the calibre of person working for them?
