In Need of Some Support

I was just thinking that if you can get yourself into the city centre there is lots of emergency help for people struggling. I was particularly thinking of Manchester City Mission and The Booth Centre. If you google them you can see where they are. I was involved with these groups some time ago and they really are supportive and i'm sure they'll help you. They provide free meals (not just to homeless people) and can advise you on the best way to at least get some food in your cupboards.
I feel really sad for you and hope you can at least get that sorted over the weekend.

the only way now, is up?
I say this, because the OP has made that first important step...by coming on this board, and discovering there is support out there, both moral and practical.
Re-a bank?
It really won'#t matter if BArclays eventually end up as a creditor in your impending bankruptcy.
Once the petition is granted, Barclays cannot offset their debts by raiding your account.
I would be inclined to seek to petition ASAP....then open a basic account with Barclays.
This will stop the attachment of earnings..or should do, providing the Court gets their fingers out.
Better still, open two basic accounts....have one to receive your income...and the other to pay out fixed essential bills, like Council tax, water, leccy, TV, insurances etc. These can be direct debits...or standing orders...or whatever.
Simply pay into this other account, on payday, an amount which will cover all these bills [and no more]....then, whatever is left in the first account can be used for day-to-day expenditures, like fuel, food, etc. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Thanks to all for the useful suggestions coming through. Just waiting on the funds for my petition and I can get the ball rolling. Just want it all sorted now.0
