EON Estimated Meter Readings
My bill is due in the next few days and a meter reader would be around .But haven't seen a meter reader so i entered the readings myself on the website this is the second time in a matter of a few weeks i have submitted the readings. On the website the gas reading is as i entered but the electric still says estimated 14th February even though there has been two readings since then .Is this normal
Nice to save.

Was the actual read you wanted to enter significantly lower than the estimate? The computer may reject reads that it thinks are too low - you may have to telephone it in if you are not happy with going with the estimate it wants. Or wait for a bill/statement and then correct it afterwards.0

Hi Nellybee
I agree with Nada666, if the electricity reading you put in was significantly different from those already on the account, it's likely it wouldn't have been used.
Have you had a bill yet?
For quarterly customers, readings put in 14 days either side of the bill date automatically create a bill.
It may be the readings you gave us a few weeks ago were put in outside of this period. If this was the case, they'll have been recorded but wouldn't have been used for billing.
Don't worry, this can soon be sorted. If you let us have the readings, either over the phone or by email, we'll issue an accurate bill.
Drop an email to the address in my Profile if you prefer. I'll be happy to do this for you. Or, if it's better, you can use our twitter and facebook channels.
With an online account you can also issue your own bills if you like. This is through our Real Time Billing tool.
Through this tool, when you put in readings, you'll be given the option of just seeing the balance these would lead to or actually creating a bill.
We don't read meters every quarter but are happy to accept readings from customers.
Hope this helps Nellybee.

That's fine Nellybee. You know where I am if you need your account re-billing. Happy to help if needed.

You're right, too, about the Saving Energy Toolkit. This is based on the information we hold. The estimated readings we've used will have an effect.
