Back again. Unfortunately we've had someone we know look at it, he's sure they've used the wrong materials as it's all crumbling away. He thinks it all needs removing and re-doing.
Could you give me an idea of cost for this?
So fed up with this, it's been one thing after another since we bought this house....

I think you are going to have to get 3 quotes unless you know anyone that can recommend someone, the range of work could vary a lot as will the price.

If you can take a couple of pics of it and post them I can give you a fairly accurate quote and get a few other lads to pitch in too from another forum

Sorry to hijack thread as well, but I am in need of help! I own a victorian mid 2 storey terraced house and the rendering at the front and the back is in a very poor state of repair. It needs to be removed and re-rendered, including painting, scaffolding etc. I am in the process of arranging 3 quotes but wondered approx how much I would be looking at as I am keen not to be 'ripped off'. I was thinking in the region of £3-4k. Is this about right? Thanks for your time.

go to the "In my Home" forum and near the top on the right hand side there is a "new thread" button, bob's your uncle.
    good luck
