Homequote direct and mortgage on house!!

Options
Hi just wondering if anyone has used this company.
I got a quote for my sister in law on line via moneysupermarket.com which was much cheaper than her current provider ABBEY.Which she paid online using her credit card.
But to cut a long story short i think she is being diddled now because a customer services person phoned her up and told her she had to pay more because she had a mortgage on her home and didnt own it outright.
Is this right please? or am i just being suspiscious
many thanks

It may be right; if you have a mortgage on the property the mortgage providers tend to ask for the policy to be endorsed with their interest.

This means that if and when the policy is cancelled the insurer will notify the mortgage lender. Hence the extra admin cost for the insurer which they pass onto the customer.
