DSAR for loan details 20+ years ago...cats chance??!

I have no idea how much, and exactly when, my personal loan was with Lloyds but I do now that it was roughly 20 years ago! I also know that PPI was enforced as a condition of the loan.
I have raised a complaint with Lloyds and as expected they cannot trace my loan, and have suggested a Subject Access Request under the DPA costing £10. Will I be wasting my money? Is there any realistic chance that they will be able to supply any details, anyone had a similar experience please?
