Hi Everyone
It's a really silly, trivial little thing but it's driving me crazy...wondered if anyone knew what to do.
My laptop cursor 'guesses' what I'm trying to do with it, so sometimes as I'm moving it it will zoom into the screen, zoom out, or scroll up fast or slow when I'm not doing it manually.
If there's one way to wind me up it's having a machine trying to guess what I'm about to do, lol
Anyone know how to stop it? it'll be one less strain on the heart and blood pressure....really!

sounds like the sensitivity of the touchpad is set too high.
Should be a setting somewhere in control panel mouse bit under advanced probably.
I had to reduce mine considerably0 -
What he said. Play with the mouse settings.
Could also maybe a 'tap to click' setting on the touchpad, I forgot where that setting is, 'Ease of use Centre' maybe.0 -
Its not just yours, mine does the zoom in and out thing too, normally means something is on the touch pad and #Putie is getting confused by pad and mouse being used.0

If wireless mouse, usually means the battery is going0
-
It may also be the pointer driver, for instance some touchpads have scroll areas, multitouch, and possibly other gestures.0
-
I find the best way to avoid touchpad annoyances is to turn the wretched things off and use a wireless mouse0
