Is it because you've not got enough available credit to cover the transfer fee e.g. say the fee was £10 you'd need to have at least £610 credit available (a balance of £1190 or less with a £1800 limit).
    £12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000
    £2 Savers Club 2019 #18 TOTAL:£394 (2013-2018 = £1542)
  • The Barclaycard increase may be able to save you some interest payments. What are the APRs on Vanquis, Aqua, Cap One and BC that you are currently paying?

Managed to get a loan, not through any dodgy means.

£1500 to pay off vanquis and aqua. and the interest on the loan is alot less than paying vanquis and aqua interest amounts. and no temptation to spend on the card again. and 200 off capital one.

1500 is over 12 months, however i plan to pay 300 off it a month!

Should i keep a small amount on the card until, both aqua and vanquis, have settled my complaint? say 20-30 each

No, clear the bad cards in full ASAP and don't give any more of your money to these sharks by leaving money on there.

You don't say what your complaint is but here is some info

All UK credit card companies have written
    procedures for handling complaints, which
they will give you if you ask (send your complaint recorded delivery to: Vanquis Visa Card, Customer Service, P.O. Box 399, CHATHAM ME4 4WQ, and for Aqua: aqua Customer Services, PO BOX 173, Sheffield, S98 1JW). Use recorded delivery, or at very least get proof of postage and keep copies of correspondence sent and received. Do it in writing rather than the phone, cheaper than calling expensive 0845 numbers to speak to them, also lets you keep an official record of what you've said and show them you are serious.

If they cannot deal with your complaint by the
day after they receive it, they must write to let you
know that they are looking into it. They must tell
you about their progress and make sure that you
receive a final response within eight weeks (be sure to remind them of this and to tell them you are prepared to go to the next step, below).

If after complaining to your credit card company
you’re not satisfied with how you have been
treated or the outcome, you can refer your
complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The ombudsman is independent and impartial
and will review your complaint by weighing up all
the facts. This is a free service.
If the ombudsman decides in your favour and
you have lost out financially, they can order your
credit card company to put things right. Their
decision is binding on credit card companies, but
you don’t have to accept their decision if you don't agree with it.
The final step is to take your case to court but this may take longer
    and be expensive. https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk

    1. Vanquis continue to call me(1 or 2 times monthly) to sell extra stuff all the time even though every time they do I tell you to remove me from that database and I say "I am not interested now and won’t be interested in what you are trying to sell me”. This also causes me unnecessary call charges for me calling back, because I’m thinking something fraudulent or something is wrong with the account.
    2. Dispute of a £64 transaction, which they are failing to deal with.

Going to call aqua tonight, to confirm full payment and for them to close the account.
  • Doubt you'll get much out of Vanquis, register at http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html write to Vanquis and say what you said above and tell them you revoke permission for marketing/sales calls, mailings, emails and SMS and if they continue to do so you will complain to OFCOM.

For Aqua if you haven't authorised the transaction you should get it back if you follow the complaints procedure. Maybe someone else can help but it's possible that unauthorised transactions are reported to CIFAS, and having CIFAS entries on your credit file can hit your ability to get new credit pretty hard for quite some time. Are you totally sure it isn't something you've bought and the transaction just has a weird name that doesn't easily reflect who you bought from, e.g. I had a transaction on my bank for 'WHO Online' and got in a panic until I realised it was for a tenner I'd stuck on Southampton to beat Everton.

Aqua and vanquis cleared. Just got to wait for the next statements to go through, and pay the interest. which will be peanuts!

Next job is to pay £400 on the 1500 loan.

    Then £300 to Barclaycard.
  • Nice one mate - keep at it!
