Praise - Dunelm at Home

Having moved into our house last year we finally got sick of the temporary arrangement of thin curtains and a blind in our bedroom.
We decided to get blackout curtains fitted and went to Dunelm, the plan was to get some curtains made up and then fit them ourselves or get someone else to do it.
We have a tricky bay window where we needed a ceiling mounted rail as well as it being wall mounted.
We spotted the Dunelm at Home service and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent from arranging an appointment to measure, having a full quote breakdown, payment was made clear and led times was met.
We decided to pay for the fitting which came to £40 and it was the best £40 I've ever spent. The fitter was friendly and cleaned after himself, he spent about 4 hours fitting the curtains and the rail system.
It's made the room look bigger, helped with a condensation issue and also meant we sleep in a dark room.

We've had good experience with them too - although they did measure one blind 20cm too short and we had to wait another 6 weeks for them to remake it.
Still, very good value and excellent quality for the priceThinking critically since 1996....0 -
Interesting how were they about fixing the mistake?
I liked the after sales call just asking if we were happy and that if everything was ok. No pushy sales call or hard sell over more stuff or warranties.0 -
No problem at all, the woman who does the measuring came out to remeasure and sorted it all out. Apologised as you would expect, no harm no foul!Thinking critically since 1996....0

It makes a massive difference when issues just get "sorted" without a load of hassle. Thats when good customer service kicks in.0 -
Would just like to add some praise of my own. We also used the at home service, and when the curtains arrived they were too long by about 3 inches. As they were floor to ceiling curtains, this mattered!!
This was in no way Dunelm's fault - we'd shown them where the curtain pole was going to be fixed, but when it came to fixing it we hit problems and had to move it slightly. But still they altered the curtains for us for free - in fact, they didn't alter them, they completely re-made them - and not only that, they offered to pick them up free of charge too.
Very impressed and will definitely be using them for all future curtains. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0
