Thank you all so much for your advice & it seems well in favour of avoiding suction versions. Point taken but I may just get a couple of good quality suction ones for when we stay away from home with friends or family as I don't use them to haul myself up but more to maintain my balance as this is one of my major factors which can cause falls. I feel a dodgy suction carefully applied & checked would be better than none.
When we move it is into rented in a new area & not sure if the landlord would agree to fitting permanent ones & if the OT can arrange for something quickly.0
