THIS BIT!As above, it wasn't your policy so you don't declare a cancelled policy - your father does. You should really advice him this sooner rather than later as it could see his current policy if he has one void in the event of a claim.
This is incredibly relevant and important.
As for whether to inform the lender - of COURSE you must, OP. They have secured their loan on the vehicle. If you default on your finance, they will come to repossess the car. Which, clearly, they can't.0 -
