I need a 'quiet ' microwave

I cannot stand the beeping sound from pressing buttons on a microwave.

I have one now that bleeps with every button, 3 beeps half way through defrosting, 3 beeps when the times up and then it continually 3 beeps until you open the door.

Its driven me insane............

Are there any that dont make any noises?

xx

Everything HAS to beep at you nowadays.

Last week I took the bread out of the breadmaker, thinking 'that loaf is quite pale' - then I realised it was the "beeping" washing machine that I had heard !!

why dont they have a choice of sound on or off like phones?

my mum had a clock once that you could turn the tick off. I used to turn it off when I visited and she could tell as soon as she walked in - then turned the tick back on. She said it was comforting???

I dont think I should tell you this but.......15 years ago I had ( and I might add am still using now) a microwave oven that had a really loud beep.
I errrrmmm took the back off and stuck 2 bits of electricians tape over the beeper.......that quietened it down !!!!!!

I bought a Panasonic microwave after replacing my Hitachi one which I had used for 15 years !
The annoying thing about the Panasonic one is that after you heated anything and close the door, the fan carries on for another 1 minute and it seems like the microwave is on heating again. It apparently cooling the elements. Soooo annoying !!!
