My Ebay - Item disappeared?!

I purchased an item about a week ago from China, and paid for it straight away using Paypal.
Now, normally I when you buy something an entry is added to "Won" on your main "My Ebay" page where it stays on there until you delete it or 30 days pass and its automatically deleted. The item that I purchased had an entry in "Won" but when I look now its no longer there.
I know that I DID NOT delete it myself (and 30 days have not passed) and doing a search, where you can retrieve up to the last 60 days of bought items resulted in hits, but crucially not for the this particular item.
There is no trace of this item in MyEbay at all, it won't come up in past transaction searches. Has anyone else experienced this? Whats happened?
Ps. I've just changed my Ebay password in case of a security breach and upon checking the original auction Ebay reports that the auction has been removed - so who removed the listing from my account?! I'm worried that I might not get my item.

Sounds like ebay have removed the listing... id contact them regarding it , and paypal to try and get your money back!James thinks worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere
If i help you...Please thank me! :beer:0 -
I've emailed the seller direct asking for proof of postage. Thankfully I managed to get his/her email address.
If I hear nothing then I'll have to pursue this with Ebay and/or Paypal. I have noticed, upon doing further research that the seller is no longer a registered member of Ebay.
The item was fairly heavy and I could only forward the cheap postage option which was by "SAL Shipping". The seller, on the listing, said it would take approx 1-2 months to get to its destination, so I have no way of knowing if I'll get it unless I wait for up to 2 months in which case the seller may well have b****red off.
This could be my first bad buy in 50 that I've done, potentially £50 down the pan :mad:Lack of money is the root of all evil.

you aint getting the item, ebay removed it for some reason (there are a number of reasons why they might do that). File a cliam straight away with e bay, if you paid by paypal you may be insured for the loss. The site tells you how to make a claim0

Put a claim in with Paypal straight away, don't wait 2 months! If seller has sent he will provide details to them, if not you will (should) get your money back..0

it stated a 2 month delivery period but you still went along with it? whats wrong with you!?!
you only have 45 days in which to file a paypal dispute, but I believe you have to wait for around 10 days before you can start that0 -

Well perhaps I was stupid, but I didn't have much cash at the time and the next option was twice the price at £25 for express mail by courier.
Like the other posters have said, I'll wait to see if I get a reply to my email and some proof of postage. If I don't then I'll file a claim.
Thanks to all for your help.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

Can I just reiterate that you only have 45 days to start a paypal claim..so regardless of what the seller tells you then you need to get a claim in regardless.
It is a foolish seller who offers a shipping method that breaches the 45 time limit for paypal claims.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If I launch a claim and subsequently the item comes, is it an easy process to cancel the claim?
PS. There was another postage option that would take 2-3 months from China - thankfully I didn't go for that.Lack of money is the root of all evil.

Yes, you can always cancel the claim. Far better to start the dispute and be ready to close it than wait too long and run out of time!My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
