What colour uPVC windows would you recommend?

Just moved into a new house and need to replace the windows - the existing white uPVC windows must be 20+ years old and are falling apart. I'd be interested to get opinions as to whether I should go for white windows, or a colour - thinking a mid-range shade of grey. Black seems to stark, and a funny colour would be of…

I think grey uPVC windows look stylish. You often see them on offices.

Otherwise, some good quality wood effect ones would suit.
