Recommendations for 2TB portable hard drive?

Hi folks,


I know that there are quite a lot 2TB portable hard drives available and would be very grateful as you to what you would recommend, particularly as regards to the longevity of the guarantee?


I have a Seagate 1TB expansion which is full up at the moment with backups and stuff and quite like the idea of plugging in a self powered portable drive.


Any advice gratefully appreciated.

I use Transcend Storejet drives as they offer a greater degree of physical protection than many others (having lost files through dropping a drive previously). I've recently bought the 1TB version of this one, but I see they do a 2TB as well.

Western Digital 'My Passport' drives. Finest quality there is IMHO. I own 6 of them and they are superb.

Had to choose between that and the WD mentioned by Oblivion. It was the high number of positive reviews that swung it for me, despite having relied mostly on WD (desktop) drives up until now.
