Ha ha! Don't expect baby brain to disappear once he/she's here! My daughter will be 15 this year and I still get episodes of brain fog even now :)

I think I need to move away from that literary gifts website before I buy myself a lot of presents :) I've always fancied one of the personal library kits.

No, it morphs straight into Alzheimer's via the menopause.

    (I feel depressed now!)
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Literary jewellery might make a nice token gift. I'm waiting for my first order to arrive for gifts :)

A watch maybe?? Every teacher needs a watch. Actually anyone who works in a school needs a watch IMO:rotfl:

Maybe buy her some stationery supplies from PTS or something and make her up a wee basket of things she will need/use in future. I don't know what age you teach but if it's Primary school age maybe stickers/pens/pencils/reward stamps/sticky notes etc.

We had a trainee teacher in with us and she finished just before Easter, she loved our teachers collection of stickers and the stickers I have in my own drawer (I'm a classroom assistant) that I would give out now and again, and when she was leaving I gave her some of my stickers and the teacher gave her a sheet of each of hers also lol. She also like the teachers magic pointer that we use for reading in the classroom so my teacher bought her a large and small one of those also. She was over the moon with them:rotfl:

P.S I'm staying well clear of any links that are being posted o here as I now I will get lost in them and possibly spend money don't have:o

She probably has most important literary reference books, but if not the Oxford a Companion to English Literature is handy to have on a shelf in her classroom.

Otherwise, a theatre voucher, preferably not tied to a particular theatre.

I've just looked at the links. Can't think of anything more horrid than that Shakespeare scarf and the jewellery made from old books.

I love the grammar mugs, though! Wish I'd seen them before I retired and would have had the set to rotate in class and in the staff room!

Edit to add: just love the literary gifts site. Saved it and that's my present list sorted for a couple of years.
