    Hi Daxx
No, you have been helpful. Thank you. I think these things are based on a case by case basis, I know within myself that the mortgage will be 100% affordable, but it's what they interpret as "affordable".
Good luck with your completion :-)

Still nothing :( apparently the surveyor is having some difficulty understanding the problem.

At this point I'm considering hunting him down and just crying until he does my bidding!

Ugh, I just want to exchange!

    Hi Kitty - nightmare hey.
My latest is that Halifax think they can resolve the issue with a system upgrade on thursday which will allow my application to go through without new MMR regs. I don't trust anything Halifax tell me anymore so I'm not holding out much hope. I'm quite happy to go through with MMR but worried Halifax will reduce their offer to how much they are willing to lend - thus meaning I have wasted mine, the seller's, solicitors and estate agents time and money!
Complete and utter nightmare so far. All will be revealed friday!!

Good luck with yours, different scenario but same stress levels no doubt!

I also have a case with missing MAF (£295 fee) which I'm awaiting Halifax update for, as I've told them there's no way the client is paying it, if it isn't on the KFI.
I don't particularly like quoting myself, but the mysterious appearing and disappearing MAF has now been sorted and waived.

Hi Kingstreet - so their mortgage offer was completed and sent out? Do you mind disclosing when?! I was told by Halifax directly that this MAF issue was going to be resolved this thursday evening!

I had to make an alteration to the case and the MAF then appeared with the necessary re-quote. I therefore have an offer with the MAF on it.

I then told our BDM it wasn't acceptable to try to charge the client a fee when it was missing from the original KFI and application summary output from the application submission.

I had Halifax system KFIs and Mortage Brain KFIs and the MAF was missing from both, so it was more than just a system error at Halifax. They released incorrect product data to the sourcing systems too.

I don't know how they are fixing it. They are writing to me, client and solicitor to confirm the fee isn't payable. That's good enough for me.
