No picture, just sound, from Sky via SCART

I think it could be something with the settings on the sky box, but after I returned the 32" LCD I reconnected the old set back up, however, through the SCART cable I can only hear the sound, the pictures is black.
If I connect the axial cable to the TV I can then see the picture and sound from sky, except the picture is very bad quality, worse than analog TV.
Any ideas what's going on? Things were fine before

It's possible the scart isn't fully pushed in, try reseating it. They are nortoriously bad for falling out. Failing that try another scart lead. If the Sky Box is set to 'RGB out' it still outputs composite (i.e. the regular) signal so there's little chance it's any settings on the sky box causing the problem. Also try plugging it in to the other AV socket on the tv."...IT'S FRUITY!"0

This really shouldn't happen though, I bought two scart cables off ebay for £1.50 inc. postage, perhaps that's why. Time to look for new (proper quality) scart cables methinks...0 -
LOL. Can't beat decent cables. Just don't be fooled into paying silly money for optical (TOSLink) ones with gold connectors...0

Last night, being the idiot I am, I was watching CSI (that's not the idiot part) but not via the scart cable (i.e. I hadn't switched to "AV" - that's the idiot). It looked like interference was coming from somewhere till the picture completely disintegrated into a mess of static. However, when I actually did switch to the scart cable, the pic was fine. Even today, the picture via the axial cable is all over the place, but randomly stabilises.
Could this be something with the sky box? I need to call them out to put the extra two bolts in our dish (the installers only put two in  ) so if this is a potential problem with the box I'd rather get it sorted at the same time, cheers0 -

It probably just means that your TV isn't correctly tuned to the Sky Box Frequency, or the Sky Box frequency is clashing with a local TV station frequency.
TBH, I doubt there is anything actually wrong with your Sky Box, just use the AV, you will get a far better picture quality.
I wouldn't trust any Sky Installer to mess with your settings, many of them are not the brightest stars on the planet, as you know with your 2 bolt fixing.:rolleyes:0
