When wanting to save a page on the Internet, you click on Save As and then Save. However, there is a drop down menu that allows you to save the page in different formats (Save As Type). The default is Web Page Complete. But if you want to change that default to another format how do you do it?

You should just be able to click on the drop-down menu where it says "Web Page, complete".
The options on my PC are:- Web Page, complete
- Web Page, HTML only
- Text Files
- All Files

I can do that, but the default always re-sets to Web Page Complete when I log on the following day.
How do you set the defaults on Firefox for this activity?0 -
Don't think you can without changing the Firefox source code.0

I haven't tested it myself, but I think, the default is stored in the following Firefox variable (in "about:config").
browser.download.save_converter_index
0 = Web Page, complete
1 = Web Page, HTML only
2 = Text Files
