Credit report

hi all Coucou24.gif as most of you know i became debt free on 16/4/07 just under 3 months ago. Once i was debt free i closed all my accounts that could allow me credit/goods on credit. Now i am itching to get a copy of my credit report to see if they are all closed or not (i have a feeling my studio account still isnt closed after 20 letters). Shall i wait another month or ask for it (£2 each from 2 agencies) as i am very tempted  What would you do? thanks pap

Sign up to creditexpert on quidco - you will get a free month to be able to look at your file online and you also get £5 cashback I think!

You will have to give your bank details as they charge for monthly access, but as long as you cancel at the end of the first month, you will not get charged!

I think you can do it again, perhaps give it a try with some new registration password etc. Also, they take debit cards - or they did for mine, anyway!!

Oh well, worth a try. wouldn't it be better then to send the £2 off to the main companies to get your report rather than paying £6.99 today?

What about www.annualcreditreport.co.uk - it is free.

Not sure about www.checkmyfile.co.uk but again worth a try.

Just a word of warning; I went for the checkmyfile report thinking it would be instant (panicked!) and then had to wait almost a week and most peeved & def not worth the money. Apparently I was one of the 20% that could not get an instant report & then the letter with the magic code only arrived today! ahhhh! NOT impressed...Also doesent say who info is from so there is much guesswork as to who says what! HTH?
