My grandson has just broken a bone in his wrist. We forgot this when setting up travel insurance and so if there are complications while on holiday in florida it would not be covered. The company won't do a top up . Does anyone know a way to solve this. - or give any advice- thank you- jo

How long ago did you take out the insurance?
Under UK law, you have a 14 day period in which you can cancel the policy and this period begins when the policy starts or when you receive the documentation (whichever is later).
Insurance companies are entitled to make a reasonable charge to cover their admin costs, but not all do this, and they are also allowed to charge for any time that the policy was in effect.
If you are within the cancellation period, it might be worth enquiring to see how much it would cost to do this and if it's not too costly, cancel and take out a new policy with your son's broken arm mentioned on the application.0 -
