Student Finance 2014/15 Application Website Issues

We are applying for Student Finance for start in October 2014. The website claims to do it all ( www gov uk slash student-finance-register-login ) but we can't tie up a student application with the parent supporting information. Links to documents don't work and nothing has arrived by post, though the site says things have been posted. Above all there seems to be no way to contact them by phone or email.
Has anyone had similar problems? It would be especially helpful if someone has managed to find a phone number for Student Finance applications or an email that gets answered.
Thanks if you can help.

We had similar problems not receiving the letters they said had been sent and I thought the document links didn't work, but tried again and they do, they just take a while to load. Also there are page numbers to click on the bottom if you scroll down and the first two pages were blank, so had to click on page 3 & 4 to get the actual forms to print that we needed to send off.0

They have always had problems with the website. You can call them: https://www.gov.uk/contact-student-finance-england
They have even changed to an 03 number now so it won't cost anymore than calling a standard landline.0 -
My son had to ring them as we haven't received the letters and the links on there won't open so he can't print them himself. They said they'll resend the letters and to give it 7 days. He rang on 0300 100 0607, they were really helpful. We had no problems linking our accounts though.0
