Definitely stick to the template appeal. It has the legal points on which you will win the appeal. You will not win on mitigating circumstances. However do add a final point that you were a customer and provide evidence for this.

And yes, you should complain to anybody and everybody, the Cinema, the restaurant, the land owner etc. Someone does have the power to get tickets cancelled. Too. But still appeal to POPLA too as per the newbie thread.

Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.

You could have appealed to PE with evidence that you were a customer with receipts &/or card statement. There is a secret clause in many of their contracts that oblige them to cancel charges for overstaying if the motorist provides evidence of a minimum spend (typically £30).

No problem though as for the last couple of months PE don't even bother to submit evidence to POPLA in support of their claim once they see a forum supported appeal quoting 'no genuine pre-estimate off loss' & other sure fire winners.

Just copy the latest ParkingEye version in the 'How to win at POPLA' link in the newbies thread. Amend it to suit whether this was a free car park or not.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have you approached the owner of the car park (retail park or whatever)? If you get annoyed with them sufficiently, they should cancel the charge for you.

Also inform both the restaurant and cinema manager that you will no longer be visiting their premises while they have vultures in the car park.
