Fair enough, large quantities of liquid refrigerant shouldn't enter the compressor in normal operation, but liquid refrigerant in its own right shouldn't damage the system.0 -
Liquid does not compress, the air con pump is compressing a gas to push it through the system, having a too much liquid in there would do sort of similar things as getting too much water into your engine air intake.
(Compress the gas, cool this in the condensor, it condenses into a liquid, then travels through to the expansion valve, and is allowed to expand back into a gas in the evaporator, then it goes back to the pump.)0
