    Are you sure the letter said the remainder of the debt was written off?

    Or did it perhaps say they wouldn't pursue it, rather than it wouldn't be pursued?

    Yes I believe the exact wording was the balance written down to 0 and all credit reference agencies updated to inform them the debt was partially settled and the balance updated to 0.

    What has happened is they haven't chased me, left the account as active on my credit file defaulting me every month for the full amount + a little bit and sold the debt on..
    £4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

    An account can only be defaulted once.

    Ahh ok, we'll there putting the red default marker on every month, when in effect the account is settled if it is what I think it is. It may be something else..
