Arrow Global LTD - Who on earth are they?

Options
Hi,

I have just had to raise a dispute on my credit report as there is a company on there Arrow Global LTD claiming I owe them £1212... I have never heard of or from this company, does anybody know why they are other than debt purchases as per there website?

I have sent them a letter asking them for information 28 working days ago, but to date have not received a response. Are they a genuine company?

Thanks

They are chasing a debt, ie private debt collectors. Any ideas what this might be? Have you got one outstanding that you are unaware of?

You need to send them a Prove It letter and that should shed some light.

    Thanks,

The only debt which had a similar amount on it was an old Egg Credit cart which I paid off sometime in around 2011..

I will send them a prove it letter and see what they do - ideally I want it off my credit record as I do not owe it!

But im guessing they wont want to do that as theres no money in them :(

I would perhaps start digging out your correspondence on this Egg card with a view to sending them a redacted copy and telling them to take a long walk off a short pier.

    Hi,

Don't forget that the £1212 may include their fees so it's likely something for around a grand...

Arrow Global are the DCA dealing with my old Egg loan, so it could well be connected to old Egg debts.

Not sure if this helps but Arrow Global are the parent company that have purchased the older Student Loans from the government. There's been a lot of controversy concerning their clause that they can/will list info with the credit reference agencies. Just wondering if this is what it could be related to.

Thanks Manzy, my student debt gets taken from my self assessment every single year..

If it is Egg, its definately unenforceable as my egg failed to provide proof of the debt, in either CCA or in fact proof that I had borrowed any money and not paid it back as I had proof that I paid it back and had a 0 Balance as it was full and final settlement and was told thats case and account closed as far as they were concerned.

This is going to bug me so I am going to chase this up and get it closed.. Also on my credit report is another closed credit card and a closed bank account where they are caliming I am in Default, when in fact they agreed full and final settlements and to mark my account as settled, which were paid and apparently I am in default on them - More fun :(

Did you pay in full, or a reduced settlement?

A reduced settlement in full and final settlement of the account, the letter to me confirmed that and also that the account was completely closed. Looking at the figures there's about £70 difference to the balance before I made a final payment..

If it's the same debt then I'll be truly annoyed as whilst collection activity stopped, they have sold the debt on with the full balance and updated my credit file that the debt is settled, this despite a written agreement confirming they would update my credit file and write the rest of the debt off
