Search box keeps popping up

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me please?
I have a Samsung R519 laptop a few years old so it's quite slow, I tried moving files from the c to d drive to make some space (stupid I know) to speed it up but a search box started popping up.
I restored it to factory settings/tried to and now the search box pops up when I log on and when I open some programs.. any ideas?
