hi all,
I fell behind with a personal loan from BlackHorse, and was in a reduced payment plan with them.
Anyway, in September of this year my did was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and as an only child, had to reduce my hours at work to care for him.
I wrote and told BH this, and they sent me a letter allowing me to pay £1 per month for 3 months, to be reviewed after 3 months. This was fin, and I paid the first of the £1.
I got a letter then saying that I had broken the agreement that was made and that I must now settle in full. a few weeks later I got a letter from DLC stating that they had taken over the debt from BH.
I explained the circumstances to DLC, and we entered into an payment plan, paying the same £55 that I was originally paying BH when in default, although DLC allowed me to wait 2 months due to circumstances at home.
Anyhow, on checking my credit file I see that BH have a a row of red "8" on my file with 1.12.13 as the last date on file, as well as DLC which as 4 red "8" beginning 28.11.13.
so after all that - can anyone tell me if this should be happening, as I have a default twice for essentially the same debt?
