Vanquis did chargebacks without permission

Have had my Vanquis card 8 months and have never been overlimit, always paid on time in fact the only thing that gets paid from my card is my sky tv & broadband at £70 per month.
On 1st May I woke up to find my sky tv services restricted and my phone only dialling in. I checked my sky account on the interactive button and seen 2 chargebacks of around £70 one for February's bill and one for April's bill.
Sky explained the chargebacks procedure and that I had to pay these amounts and next months bill totalling £216 or they will cut me off completely which they did on Sunday.
Now vanquis admitted their error in taking the chargebacks without my permission and are apparently rectifying the problem, meantime I am without my tv, phone and broadband. FOS say they have 56 days to resolve the problem before they can get involved and the only compensation vanquis have offered is the £3.30 for the phonecall to them and a further £4.55 in purchase interest.
Anyone else had this problem?

Permission? This makes no sense.
Chargeback is normally done on request of the cardholder. Why on earth have they done it on their own initiative?
And why couldn't you just pay Sky again when you called them instead of waiting until they cut you off?0 -
They thought it would be a great idea to block my card from having future subscriptions with sky, each time I have tried putting it through it gets declined I think I can still use it elsewhere0

This looks exactly as if you asked Vanquis to cancel the Continuous Payment Authority. Possibly, they registered such request in your account as a result of some misunderstanding.0
