Broken bed

Options
We bought a bed back in April last year (2013). We purchased the bed from in store for approximately £600. We paid via debit card.

When the bed was delivered, it had been poorly manufactured to the point that we could not put it together. I contacted the company and complained that day and the next day they contacted us and offered a replacement (we asked for a refund but were told I had agreed to a replacement via the phonecall the day before, which I hadnt) .

We agreed to a replacement in the end as we needed a bed anyway and it was delivered in August (around 2 months after the complaint was dealt with).

In March 2014 the bed rails came away from the headboard, and had we not had drawers underneath the bed which took our weight, it would have collapsed causing injury to us and our son.

The bed was 7 months old at the time of complaining so the company are only offering to replace the parts that they believe have failed - the two side rails and heaboard. Is this reasonable? We think that a third bedframe may well fall apart aswell and are worried about accepting another replacement but dont know where we legally stand?

Thank in advance.
