Interested in this.
But it doesn't appear to have a height control for the motorized brush bar.
My old hoover has this adjustment and it is good for being able to vacuum all types of depth of carpet pile.

Is the Vax Air 3 able to easily vaccum all heights of carpet pile.

I've also got a Bissel carpet vacuum with a motorized brush bar but this is very harsh and pulls a lot of pile out of my new carpets so I only use the Hoover on those.

If the Vax Air 3 is too harsh on carpets can anyone suggest another lightweight vacuum cleaner.
My hoover is too heavy nowadays what with my age and everything.:rotfl:
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

I've had the Vax Mach Air Pet upright for a couple of years now & am so happy with it that if it went wrong, I'd happily buy another. I'm more than happy with the way it performs & how lovely & light it is, especially compared to the Dyson I used to have.

My Vax only has 2 settings, carpet & wooden/hard floors. The carpets in my house are all twist pile but I do have a couple of very shaggy rugs in the bedrooms & the vacuum copes with both very well.

When using the vacuum on long pile carpets, you are advised to switch to the hard floor setting, where the brush beater bar stops spinning, but I don't always remember to do this. The the suction is very strong, so perhaps on flimsy long pile rugs & carpet it might not be a good idea to forget to switch to the hard floor setting as I expect they could lift from the floor.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
