Hi apple muncher thanks for the encouragement. Your mortgage figures look good. After the debt is cleared we need to look at buying a property. Houses are very expensive where we are though and we would need a huge deposit.
Just checked bank accounts and we have £2.27 left in the current account, also the Lloyds round down has moved an extra £1.40 into the car account.
The car account now has £52.65, the oil and house £1 , the hoilday £0, rent and bills £230 and the shopping and petrol £0.
When tomorrows payment is in these should look healthier
DH is not feeling to great but is continuing with the masses of overtime he has booked. When he is feeling better we need to discuss the possibility of him doing more overtime like this over the next 12 months to get this all cleared quicker.
DS' new trainers turned up today which is impressive as I only had a text this morning to say they have dispatched them and should take 2 days :j I think I will be in his good books later

I miss calculated my outgoings by approx £100. DS told us last night he had another trip which cost us £20 and had to be paid this morning. I knew we overspent but lots of pending payments were not showing on my pending payments folder on my online banking. So we need to find/make £100 before the 28th when the rent goes out
I think I can make up some with my £10 a fortnight CSA money which I don't add into the budget and hopefully I have over estimated enough on the bills/petrol to make the rest up.
DD2 was sent home today as she is unwell, DD1 seems to be coming down with something aswell. Hopefully they will be better for half term.
I really need to find 10 minutes to get online and look for part time work which pays full time wages
Ooo and not to forget school hours

Had a nice unexpected bonus from work today £624. The car account is now looking healthier as is the bill account. I have also managed to buy DS' 15th birthday present
Only only 2 more birthdays to go this year, DFC's birthday in September and he wants a BMX and DD1 who wants a new dolls pram (I'm sure she will change her mind 100 times before then!). These are already budgeted for :j
I have opened a savings account with my mortgage provider (my old home from my 20's/30's which is let out) I will be rounding down my account as often as I can, this will then pay DH's nan what we owe her.
I will update my signature with the amounts saved so far.DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

It has been a busy week with MIL visiting, had lots of fun and great for the children to spend time with her. I am glad she has gone though, as nice as she is it is nice to have our house back!
Not much to report on the money side of things we are still plodding through, and we are currently £20 short for the bills. We may need to take this from the car account.
The balance of the car account has gone up slightly to £586.08. We will hopefully be able to add to this soon. I am hoping from DH's wages to be able to put back at least £350.
I have been transferring the odd penny's to my new savings account ready to pay back DH's Nan and this currently stands at £5.06.
I have to admit I am surprised at how quick the penny's have added up and we haven't missed them at all I will try and up the ante on transferring money out I may add a £1 to the transfers.
Payday for me on Thursday and this will all be added to the bill account ready for the rent to go out.DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

Been MIA for a few weeks, I have been so busy I haven't had time to update. I really must make more of an effort. I have been keeping up with other diary's for inspiration.
Money wise things are really tight we have got a new to us car, so have now met that target :j
Now we have to tackle the council tax and holiday. The Council now want the full years money by the end of June but I think as long as I pay as much as I can when I can we should be OK
. I am hoping to be able to pay them at least £300. We also have to put some money aside for our holiday  I'm not sure how we can do this just yet so some creative accounting maybe required
Hopefully the nice weather will continue and we can do a car boot or 2.
The accounts are looking to be all on budget which is great all the money is where it should be ready to pay what needs paying.
On the downside we have run out of oil, we have had to switch of the boiler as it is on lockdown and switch on the immersion. The heating is not required for the summer so I am not immediately worried about it, but I do have to find at least £4-£500 by the winter. This will cover oil and the boiler to be reset
. I asked my husband to check the tank during the week and although he insisted he had he nose flared and his forehead went pink so I know he forgot :rotfl: DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

Grr why is it when you start to get straight something happens. Working Families came in to the bank today half of what we were expecting. I don't mind if it is the correct amount but I do wish they would send a letter before rather than a week later...do they not know I budget weekly!DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

I really am rubbish at updating my diary!
So what has happened since I last updated, things have gone from bad to worse. We moved 4 months ago into a nice house and was told it would be long term as no plans to sell (we asked before signing!). Fast forward 4 months and we have just received notice as the landlord wishes to sell. This is the second time in 6 months. Absolutely gutted.
This has made us think more carefully about he future, we can't keep moving. The first move cost us nearly £4000 as all the furniture and white goods were built in plus agency fees, deposit etc. This move is likely to cost about £2500. We have decided to go onto a dmp and save for F&F and then a mortgage, we have no CCJ's so should get a sub-prime one and we can swap once we can get a normal one.
I feel so down I just don't know where to start or where it will end.DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

Still waiting for our pack from Stepchange, I really can't wait to get the process started. I will need to sit down with my husband and work out exactly what he owes as I am sure I missed some off and got the totals wrong
.
I managed to get the bank to return a DD today I explained I was entering onto a DMP and they were really helpful. I am glad I don't owe them any money.
As my DH wages change monthly dependant on Bonus, I have put the lower figure on the form, anything above this will go direct into a savings pot to clear this ASAP. Stepchange calculated 28 years  I am hoping it will be more like 12 months.
To hit the 12 month figure we are looking at moving to a cheaper area even with the extra petrol costs we hope to save £150 p/m. DD1 will get free school dinners from September, my mum is loaning us the money for the council tax arrears. Lots of carboots are planned and free trips with the children. I will also look for a part time job.DMP process started 28/07/2014 :j

Good Morning
We have received the pack from Stepchange :j:j Now we just have to find all the reference numbers and balances
Had an email from credit union to ask why we haven't paid and they were fairly good, I don't expect it to be an easy ride but better than panicking each month!
I have packed 2 boxes of winter clothes ready for when we have to move, I was hoping to do a carboot this weekend but the weather seems to have other ideas.
I think this weekend will be trying to get boxes and packing as much as we can live without. I will be sorting it in 3...keep, carboot and tip.
I also need to finish painting the living room as I have got half way around as the paintwork was a little grubby when we moved in. I also decorated the girls bedroom with the landlords permission so need to make it neutral again . If he had told us earlier he planned to sell we would never have decorated we had hoped to be here for 5 years not 6 months
