Hi,
We're looking for a credit card to increase our credit rating and also gain cash back or clubcard points from,
Only for these reasons really,
But what's the best ones to consider I've never had a credit card before therefore don't know which to choose from
We we're consider the tesco one for the clubcard points as we enjoy our weekends away so these May come in handy!
Just need some help on which to choose?
Thanks

Have you tried the MSE pre application checker? It's not always accurate but might give you a rough idea, if you have not had a card before whether you would be accepted for any good ones.0

Here's the URL: https://creditcards.moneysavingexpert.com/?cashbackIt's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Ok tried this and there was a fair selection if cards offered I would have been able to have, but the tesco one didn't come up ?
Might try online with tesco and see.0 -

This is a new addition to the Tesco range of credit cards:
http://www.tescobank.com/creditcards/foundation/index.html
It offers a higher APR of 28.9% with an initial limit of £250 but you'd still get your Clubcard points. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

^ This is probably your best bet. I have a pretty solid credit history, yet when I applied for the normal Tesco 0% purchases card I only got accepted with a £250 limit.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
ARe there any other I should consider?0
