You may have the firmware that blocks compatibles. I don't think this has been circumvented yet

If compatibles won't work you have three options...
Buy Epson cartridges
Wait (possibly for a very long time) for somebody to make some that will work
Take a sledgehammer to the printer, replace it with a non-Epson machine, vow to never buy Epson again and slag them off online at every possible opportunity.
You could also try selling it but the chances are most people will want to pay £2 for a set of cartridges rather than £20+ so won't buy it.0 -
Kwikbreaks, printer working ok just want to know of any reliable sellers of cartridges that work0

I have the same printer and have been happy with cartridges from 'King of Flash' from Amazon.0

I have the same model, have very little issues with ones from TJ Inks on Ebay. Sells a variety of pack sizes and combinations. I used to get nozzle clogs with other compatibles but not these. The chips show as Epson Genuine id's and I especially like how each cartridge is made in plastic the same colour as the ink. Cases are light enough to see how much ink is left when held up to the light.

I also find they are generously filled and the printer will think they are empty when only half used up. I use this simple device to reset the chips on them and bung them back in for another go...

Contrary to Kwikbreaks rather extreme advice, I'm now back to Epson printers and perfectly happy with them, particularly their ability ro run on compatable cartridges.
Just before buying my current ones I read somewhere, possibly here, that the trick with Epson printers was to refuse update offers. Part of the update prevented you using compatables. Not sure whether it's true or not!David.0
