Weeds in between patio

Hi

Any ideas of how to completely kill off weeds etc in between the cracks of driveway or patio?

Heard boiling water is good?

I'm just guessing here, but how about using weed killer.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

    Someone had to say it.

Forgetting tree huggers, I simply treat all drive/patio areas to a gallon of the cheapest bleach I can find, around £3-5.

Kills 99.5% of all known weeds:D:D

    Flack jacket doned, incoming:eek:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    Does bleach work on moss?

Do you dilute it and if so in what ratio?

Yep, you scrub the patio with as little water as possible thus keeping the highest bleach concentration, it kills algae and moss

So, :money::money:, both cleans patio and kills moss and weeds.

If you can accept that the runoff has to go somewhere, and if yours is properly contained I see no issue

Fantastic stuff that and much more cost effective than the dumbed down products generally available.
BUT, a word of caution is needed Ian, it is a proffessional grade material, highly concentrated and does need careful handling but boy does it work. There are even instructions on the pack on how to kill full grown trees with it. Ive tried that and although slow, it really does the trick.
Can be diluted to the strength of more readily available stuff and goes much firther.

Ebay, about £13 litre last time I bought;)

soda crystals sprinkled over the moss add a little water or wait until it rains and it kills moss. It does say on the packet and it certainly worked with my block paved terrace also cleans it a bit too.

I always used salt on the drive in my previous house. Seemed to work whether water was warm or hot. Sometimes takes a day or so before you notice weeds are dying, but is a good quick & cheap fix.

I saved a large empty Fairy Liquid bottle to use for squirting the salt solution between the cracks, which made it really easy & meant it was directed exactly where I wanted it to be.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
