Help please to set-up PTZ CCTV...

I am not a techie minded person and would appreciate some advice on how to set-up my PTZ Controller please.


I do have at the moment a HomeGuard 4 Channel H264 with 2 cameras fitted which are working ok monitoring my property and recording through the DVR through a Edge10 monitor.


I have purchased the following:


Cam PTZ 902-SSG 960 Resolution - ICX 673 AK+Effio e 360 Degree Mini PTZ Speed Dome Camera RS485 Pelco D/P supported.


Con-SDK55 Set or call the set points and cruise tracks manually or automatically control. RS-485/RS232(PC) Communication. Baud rate: 2400-19200Bps,


I have read the instructions that came with these items and cannot make head nor tail of them as I am not very techie minded.


The camera works fine but remains in a stationary position until I can get the set-up instructions onto my monitor and put in the relevant information.


Any help would be appreciated but maybe I should get a specialist in to show me how to set this PTZ System up.


The instructions that came with these items says in the 'How to set up address says


(1) After initial starting, the OSD will display 485 baud rate, address, protocol, as the following picture shows...


What it does not say is how to get this information to appear onto the monitor screen to be able to make the settings to make the camera work.

To bring you up to date re this set up problem.


I resorted to calling in a CCTV Engineer to resolve my problem trying to set up this CCTV System.


He left feeling disappointed that he could not get the system to work correctly, he made all the relevant setting as per the instructions and the camera and controller are talking to each other but strange things are happening.


The Initial screen will suddenly appear on the screen for about 25secs then the screen will freeze or it will suddenly go the full 360deg then stop in what looks like the factory setting position, and then freeze.


To get out of this he pulled out the power plug put it back on again and the PTZ acted normally for about 30secs and then started putting up the Initial Screen again then freezing.


It could be that there is a fault with either the camera or controller, I contacted the supplier of these parts and they promised to have someone call back but to no avail.


Has anybody on this Forum had anything similar with their set up?

I purchased this system 20th March and only recently erected the equipment an I notice in the TERMS & CONDITIONS Any technical help required after 30 days of purchase is chargeable. Returns must include ALL original packaging so I cannot return these items as I have thrown all packaging away.


Any ideas folks?
