Then getting to and from to Greenwich and having a good look round.
Never mind the cost of eating
Cost to get to Greenwich and back with an Oyster card - maybe £3 each. Free entry to the art gallery, chapel and painted hall in the old Naval College. Lots of open space with great views for nothing. Lunch from M&S to have a picnic in the park.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
London is expensive. Full stop.
You get used to it, or you don't go ....
It does not have to be expensive - have a look at

Full price tickets would total £158.50, though I'm sure you could find some discounts of some sort somewhere.
you can get 2-4-1 tickets to the Tower with train tickets via the link I posted earleir in the thread, or get a free glimpse if you apply for the 'ceremony of the keys' tickets I also mentioned.
I'm not aware of discount tickets for St Pauls or Westminster abbey though ....0 -

Interesting that your toatl price is soooo doifferent than mine.
Care to show how you get to £158.
Thanks.
Well I'm assuming a family of 5 is 2 adults and 3 children (which may of course be an incorrect assumption!), and then:
Tower of London
Family Ticket = £59.00 (Up to 2 adults and 3 children)
http://www.hrp.org.uk/TowerOfLondon/admissionsprices/toweroflondonadmission
St Pauls
Family Ticket = £40.00 (2 Adults + 2 Children)
Children (6-17yrs) = £7.50 (1 child)
http://www.stpauls.co.uk/Visits-Events/Sightseeing-Times-Prices
Westminster Abbey
Family = £44.00 (2 adults and 2 children)
Schoolchildren (11 - 18 years) = £8 (1 child)
http://www.westminster-abbey.org/visit-us/entry-charges
Total = £158.50
(or £150.55 if purchased online)Stompa0 -
The secret to enjoying London is not to try to do "everything" is one visit. There's enough going on to fill up many trips and if you try to fit too much in then you'll just spend half of your time dashing from A to B without really taking in the sights.
Unless you really love cathedrals then why do both St Paul's and Westminster Abbey in the same visit? Do one and then save the other for another time.0
