I dont really come to the Inn very often, sometimes just to read the posts.....

But I felt that in light of the terrible news about Sue I wanted to
Come in and tell you all that even though I really don't know anyone here, I feel a closeness to my fellow compers and even though i didn't know Sue, my heart feels broken for her family and friends.

Sheils, this wasn't easy for you to break the terrible news to us all, But thank you for letting us all know.

I hope everyone has a lovely peaceful Sunday and that we all take a few moments from our busy lives to remember Sue and all of her hard work and contribution to the forum.

Bella that about sums up how I feel too. I love my online friends and would be lost without the Inn to pop into for a chat.

It is indeed very sad new about Sue and my prayers are with the family at this time.

Very rare occasion has happened, my DD1 has invited us for lunch. It will make a change from us having to cook for them. Having said that she has been working hard at uni so is very busy.

Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone both here and on BS's thread. Her family really appreciate it. Sue and I were always sharing comps and news on FB so it will be strange not tagging her any more

Have had a nice walk in the sunshine and now deciding whether to start organising dinner or go straight to the ironing - decisions, decisions!


Enjoy your meal Sylvia - lovely to get cooked for. DS2 spoilt us last week.

been lovely sunshine here all afternoon sheils & we were just
enjoying a large G&T in the garden when we heard thunder
& all of a sudden the heavens opened :eek:
stopped now but spoilt the evening sunshine.

Oh dear FF hope you got in the house in time and saved your G&T!!!! We have had sunshine all day but every so often a huge black cloud loomed over and we expected the heavens to open - but no - not a drop! Been very humid though ! I am just enjoying a rose and watching Soccer Aid! Ooooh that Robbie williams still makes my heart miss a beat! Cannot wait till the game starts so I can see fit legs and em more fit legs hee hee!

Not had any rain here FF - sunny but a little windy all day. Got lots of washing dry. Had every faith in you saving your G&T!


Enjoy watching Robbie Williams and your rose Bella. Expect DH will get me a nice voddie & coke later if I moan at him.

Now Bella I thought you were my friend. Fancy sending the thunder and lightning my way. I was on the loo and had to should to Fred to come up and rescue me. The rain has come down in a sheet and been running down the road.

Could do with a vodie too Sheils but have none in at the moment. Think I will get some when I go to Aldie.

Evening all :hello: Haven't been into the inn for a while so thought it was about time that I show my face

Very sorry to hear the news about Sue. It must have been such a shock for her family Thank you to Sheils for letting us know. It is sad when regulars disappear from the forum and especially so when no-one knows where they have gone or what has happened to them.

Just had to dash outside and bring the tea towels in off the line as it has started raining. It has been really nice here and sunny for the rest of the day so can't complain.

Does anyone have any nice plans for this week? I'm at work but am taking a half day Thursday so I can meet my mam for lunch and have a look round the shops so that is something nice to look forward to.
