Well done on the win FF. I won another can of Boost (Exotic Fruit)

Joiner finished at about 3.30pm and ensuite was measured and 2 inches too long at one part but joiner put threshold in to sort it out. Would have cost £60 extra if he hadn't. Went to Wilkos and spent nearly £100 on paint varnish etc :eek:
DS2 getting back on Sat from his agency work - says it is horrendous 15 -16 hour days! OK for him he is earning about £12 an hour but other chefs there on basic salary. He isn't getting any days off so finishes early. Don't think he will be going back to Andy's hotel. At least we will see him before we head off on Sun. DS3 comes on Tues and DS3 got week off so will be hectic next week.

Sun still shining away here and pretty hot.

Hi Everyone
We had Thunder and lightening and I thought the rain was not going to stop. Had to turn my TV and laptop off as it seemed directly overhead. Typical weather for a Bank Holiday. It seems a bit better now.
I was reading fire**fly's post on deliveries on a Sunday, I'm all for that, I love receiving prizes any day of the week.
Well done on your football win fire**fly.
Sheils well done on your win - Boost and glad to hear your work on the bathroom is coming along.

They are expensive FF and some of it was in the sale. Don't do DIY very often though (thank goodness)
Starting to get silly here now though with peeps saying when they will be going other places etc. Writing everything on calendar.
Looks like DD has been more or less given a T in the Park Ticket and is just paying some petrol money etc. She is going with a pal's parents but will be a worry. Will also need to pick her up somewhere as she is going to Dunfermline with us the next day. She is really excited though.

Sounds like you have all had a busy day like we have. GD just gone and have been doing things with her all day so not done any comps yet today apart from a few clickies on the iPad before she came. Will never get caught up at this rate.

Paint is expensive these days Sheils, we usually try and get ours from either Wilko or Yorkshire Trading as its about the cheapest. We will have to start looking for some soon so we are ready for after our work is done in July.

Think I could do with a drink of Vodie tonight after the busy day.

Forgot to say we have had a lovely sunny day and was outside most of it. Sorry you have had rain firefly and that you have had thunder/lightening Dreams and hope it will be better for you tomorrow.

Yeah w got our paint in Wikos Sylvia - got 2 x 2.5L Dulox for £25 and bathroom paint reduced too.
Enjoy a nice Voddie. DH and I shared a bottle of Pino Gregio Blush (my favourite)

Hope your weather is better now Dreams. I am waiting on Corrie too. Don't know if it is tonight that Tina is murdered?

Looking Ok here this morning - shame I have painting planned!
Should really keep on top of decorating but once you do one thing you realise something else needs doing. Want to have thing looking nice for DS1 coming home. It will be about 18 months since he was here. He will see such a difference in DS3 and DD.

Hope weather is better for you today FF and Dreams.

Sorry Sylvia missed this last night - eyes were getting tired so came off laptop. Had to have an early night as I felt so tired but woke up fine.
Going to have a busy 3 nights away - I ngt Premier Inn at Ashington (£29), 1 ngt Holiday Inn Washington (win from Dec) and treated ourselves to a night at Best Western at Roker. Really liked the look of the Roker hotel when we were last there and jokingly said we would stay there next time , got it for £66 B&B which I think is a good price for it.
